Tibet protest in March?

My English is not good.It made me confused with the word "protest".

I've seen the video of the Tibet protest.Monks threw stones at people passing by.They yelled like wolves and set fire to the shops where the shop owners still stayed.3 monks hit a guy on motorcycle with the choppers.One man stood upon a kid's back...then police came but things kept happening.

People around me call this a protest.It's confusing.I never saw people so free like those in the video.

What Video?  Where did this incident happen and when.  Where are you from?  Maybe I can look the incident up, possibly.

It started out as a protest, but it quickly turned into a riot. It is unfortunate that the Chinese police moved too slowly to protect inocent lives.
