Tick Tocker fancying chances of victory in Yorkshire-outdoors.co.uk Novices´ Hurdle
Tick Tocker has got a decent chance of bringing up his maiden victory over hurdles by claiming the Yorkshire-outdoors.co.uk Novices´ Hurdle at Catterick in England on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
He is young and lacks experience at this level, so things will not be easy for him. However, most of his opponents have been struggling for consistency, which will give him a solid chance of making an impact.
The class-4 contest has attracted a total of 16 runners, but some of them might miss out because of the track conditions. There has been a lot of rain at Catterick overnight, leaving wet patches on the ground.
Therefore, the organisers have described the going as soft in the 2 mile, 3 furlong competition, scheduled to kick off at 13:10 GMT. This will really test the ability of all contestants to the limit, as completing a lengthy race under these conditions will
not be easy for anyone.
However, all of the stallions have been trained to cope with such a situation and they will be looking forward to fighting for a cash prize of £2,924 in the end.
Some of the challengers will enjoy the wet track at Catterick and they are likely to get the attention of the punters more than anyone else. One of them is, Special Catch, who has done well under such circumstances in the past and will be fancying his chances
of another victory today.
He will definitely get a higher price compared to his opponents and it will be a clever idea to gamble on him.
The Keith Reveley’s trainee does not have a lot of experience, as he has appeared in a total of five events in his career. Out of those outings, just one was over hurdles, which shows that he is still new to the business.
Despite that, he is a confident runner and has the ability to take his opponents by surprise. He finished third in his most recent outing in this format, which shows that he is carrying a pretty decent momentum right now.
On the other hand, Tick Tocker has also just raced in one event over hurdles, where he finished as a runner up under seasoned jockey, Jason Maguire, who will be accompanying him at Catterick once again.
