Ticket In Texas Mistake Can I Get Off?

I recently got a ticket in Harris County,Texas. Specifically in Pasadena. And the officer got my social security number wrong and he also wrote the ticket for a lesser violation.

Can't i get off of a ticket if they messed up 3-4 numbers in my SSN?

Mistakes do not automatically void a ticket. The mistake can be amended by the court, or reissued by the officer. In this case, it will not matter because you still can be identified  by your name, date of birth, drivers license number, and address.

As far as the violation, that may not have been a mistake, the officer could have been giving you a break. If you bring that up, that too can be amended back to the original violation.

No you will not get off on the ticket because of a clerical mistake.  You should be happy that the officer wrote you for a lesser violation instead of complaining about wanting to get out of it.
