When is the lowest season to fly? I wanna fly to the Philippines and wondering if nov is a good idea to fly "standby". I got stranded in tokyo for four days flying standby last year. Thanks

October is usually the slowest travel period. But with the planned cuts in flights after Sep 1 due to high fuel, load factors will be higher than normal.  Stand by could be a real problem.

For most places, if it is somewhere cold, it's when the weather is coldest (+rain/snow, etc) and if it's somewhere hot it's when the weather is hottest.

If the Phillipines has a moderate climate, there may not be   particular low season.

For sure, avoid any major holidays.
