Question:

Ticket buying of ebay?

I just brought concert tickets of ebay for quite alot of money. The seller is a power seller with 100% feedback but because I won't have money in my paypall account for 9 days I've said I'll pay by cheque to the sellers address, is this a bad idea because there won't be any insurance from paypall?

Although the mans feedback comments were very impressive and seemed trustworthy (I don't normally buy of the internet so I am a bit weary)...I haven't sent the cheque yet either.

  1. Did the seller indicate they accept checks? Very few accept checks..If they accept only paypal payments, and you bid knowing your paypal account  was empty, that was an impulsive bid on your part...You really shouldn't bid on Ebay if you don't have the money to pay for the item the moment you win! And as you mentioned you haven't even sent out the check, you sound like a deadbeat bidder..Well, one thing going in your favor is Ebay now has an assinine new rule where sellers can't leave negative feedbacks for bad buyers- so you don't have to worry about getting a negative..

If I were the seller I'd relist the item and report you....

  2. By the time you mail a check and he waits for it to clear before sending your concert tickets, your 9 days will probably have passed and then you are covered all the way around.
