Ticket for no seatbelt on child?

so my mom got pulled over today and the cop gave her a ticket for my sister not having a seatbelt. How much will the ticket be? will she also get charged for her not having a car seat or booster seat for her? by the way my sister is 4 and we live in texas

  1. I think any child under 4ft 8in and...maybe 80lbs has to be in a booster seat. If I'm not mistaken it's a nation wide rule that they aren't too forgiving about.

    My fiancee is a sheriff's deputy here in NY and I think that's the stats he told me. But, I can't verify since he's alseep.

It should say the base fine for the infraction on her ticket.  She may get the amount lowered when she sees a judge, or he might throw the book at her, so to speak (give her the highest possible fines)  I hope your Mom changes her routine when she gets into the car to include buckling in your sister first, then herself, and then driving.  It is a real safety issue that could easily cost your Mom the life of her child.
