Question:

Ticket turned into Warrant...?

My Brother applied for a job and found out that he has criminal warrants for unpaid traffic tickets from 8 years ago. There are 2 tickets, one he remembers getting for driving with a suspended license and the other he's positive that it wasn't him. He's going to Court tomorrow morning and is wondering if he can be arrested there? He never showed up to Court for his ticket and wants to make payment arrangements. What is the process for having this cleared up? Also, does anyone know what to do if someone got a traffic ticket under your name. What type of proof do they have if they never had his Driver's License?

Serious answers only. Thank you in advance. Also, he lives in California if that helps.

  1. He needs to talk to a public defender about a Serna Motion,  P. v. Serna can in some misdemeanors can get them dismissed.  Good luck.

  2. for a traffic ticket it would be a bench warrant that's nothing serious.and for the other ticket that is not his all he need is tell the judge that it not his & if the judge is koo he will expunged.nothing will happen to him all needs is to pay off the ticket.that's wat happen to my husband they used his name and all his info and he had a ticket that wasn't his he explain to the judge an he expunged from his record. my husband dint have no proof just his words.hope this info helps for something tell your brother not to be scared as long is he don't have no other criminal back round he will be fine they have alot of people in county they need no 1 with traffic tickets in there.
