Next year my little girl will be around one year of age and would like to take her to a race. Does anyone know if I would have to purchase a ticket for her since she will be on my lap? Thanks!!

  1. It really would depend on the racetrack.

  2. Regardless of age She will have to have a ticket,

  3. I dont know about other tracks, but in Martinsville you need a ticket......Seriously each person no matter what age equals one seat

  4. I see tons of folks with their little babies in a sling at the track.  There is NO reason why you cannot bring your little one!  No, you will not need a ticket for her.  If you cannot find headphones that fit, you can always order the kit that molds them custom to the ear online (forget the site)--they would at least not fall out and ruin your day--good luck!! :-)

  5. Your little girl would not need a ticket but dear don't forget the earplugs!!

  6. I think at almost all of the tracks with the exception of one or 2, you will not need a ticket as long as the child stays on your lap. Make sure you take some great pics of your daughter wearing those huge headphones. lol

  7. She should not need a ticket but at 2 going to a race may not be a good idea.

  8. You should not need a ticket.  My friend and his wife brought their 2 year old to Homestead last year and didn't need one.  You should have seen her with these big headphones on a such a little head.

  9. She will not need a ticket but I think it is a bad move to take her...........He/She will not enjoy the race and neither will you because you will be too busy trying to occupy him/her.

  10. I don't think so, as long as she sits in your lap. Most sporting events work this way. It may depend on the venue, though. Check with the track you want to go to, and they would be able to tell you for sure.

I don't see anything wrong with taking her, as long as you protect her ears. Earplugs and headphones together would be a good choice. Plus, make sure you dress her accordingly and lots of sunscreen. Don't know if you've ever been, but it gets extremely hot.

  11. shoot me and my brother took his little girl [she was about 3] to martinsville 500 laps and she slept thru 350 of them
