Tidal Run aiming for victory in SDS 10th Anniversary Fillies´ Handicap at Bath
Tidal Run has got a pretty good record at Bath and she will be full of confidence heading into the SDS 10th Anniversary Fillies´ Handicap in England on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. She has already claimed a couple of victories at this venue and will be
looking to add one more to that tally today.
The young filly is not much dependent on track conditions, but she will still like the going at Bath, which has been described as good by the organisers. The weather is perfect for racing, thus all the participants will be happy because of it.
It will be important for all the contestants to start off steadily, as they should not exhaust themselves in the beginning of the 1 mile, 2 furlong and 46 yard race. The one who displays the best stamina will definitely be fighting for a victory at the end
of the day. The winner will be rewarded with a cash prize of £2,264.
Monopoli has managed to get the attention of the bookies, despite the fact that she has never won any race in her career. She finished as a runner up in her previous two events, but that does not mean that she will be fighting for success at Bath.
On the other hand, Tidal Run has got a clear advantage over her opponents, as she knows the conditions at Bath better than others. She has been priced 7 to 1, which is a touch surprising, but the punters should risk the maximum number of bets in her favour
without any hesitation.
The four-year-old filly has appeared at this track on four occasions in the past and the results have been terrific for her. In her first race here, she was not rated as the favourite, but fought hard against some very good runners. She managed to take
the top spot by just a short head distance in the end, which would have given her immense confidence.
Afterwards, the Mick Channon’s trainee secured a couple of runner up positions at this venue on rain affected ground. However, she was too good for her rivals when the conditions were normal and stormed to the top in her most recent outing at Bath.
Things are looking very good for Tidal Run and she will be eying a strong run under jockey, Martin Harley.
