Tien Chen Chou demolishes Pakkawat Vilailak in Men’s Singles round-of-16 at Bitburger Open GP Gold
Tien Chen Chou, who is one of the most promising and spirited players of Chinese Taipei, advanced into Men’s Singles quarter-final after beating Thailand’s Pakkawat Vilailak in the round-of-16 battle at Bitburger Open GP Gold 2012 in Germany, on Thursday,
November 1.
The fifth seeded Taipei player was impressive on court as he showed his lofty skills by taking the bird early and manipulated all loopholes of his rival to claim victory in straight games with a dominating margin on score board.
Tien Chen was at his best as he played in a relaxed but quick manner and remained successful in beating his challenger in just 30 minutes with a completely dominating margin on the board.
On the contrary, the un-seeded Vilailak was not ready for such a harsh treatment from his Taipei rival. He failed to play positive badminton all the way and eventually lost to Tien Chen in an unconvinced fashion.
The higher ranked Tien Chen showed his aggression on court and occupied the driving seat from the initial rallies of first set and he managed to create a huge pressure on his challenger.
The impressive variations in Tien Chen’s strokes troubled his rival and he remained successful in taking an early lead.
Until the end of opening half, the aggressive Tien Chen progressed with a superb speed and managed to stay ahead on score board.
After the one-minute break, Vilailak tried to put up strong show but could not take control of the game and remained struggling in the arena.
Taipei shuttler remained consistent in executing powerful shots in targeted areas and grabbed the game with a 21-16 score on the board.
In the second set, Tien Chen did not lose his concentration at any stage and remained successful in building a wonderful lead on score board until the mid-game break.
After the 60-second interval, the fifth seeded Tien Chen continued putting up remarkable manner and managed to win the set with a comfortable margin of 21-16.
The in-form Taipei player won this pre-quarter-final battle in straight sets with a superb 21-16 and 21-16 score on the board.
