Question:

Tiffany Blue Centerpieces??

by  |  earlier

I am doing a black and white pattern theme for my wedding reception with touches of Tiffany Blue. I am trying to come up with some centerpiece ideas and I can't find anything that doesn't look too cheesy! I also can't decide on what type of flowers I should go with...I could like something tall and sleek. Does anyone think White Callalies would go?? I live in Utah and my wedding is in February, so the flowers I can incorporate are limited... Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Thank You!! :D

  1. Do something like this picture

Instead of a black and white ribbon do a tiffany blue one.

Carnations are also another great flower because they are available for a reasonable price all year round.

  2. Tall centerpieces are lovely but you have to make sure they're very tall and won't tip over. If they're not tall enough, people have to talk "around" the centerpiece. You may see them ducking to see each other under the centerpiece or craning their necks around the centerpiece. Centerpieces which are tall enough to talk comfortably around are usually tippy which is not very romantic.

I had a friend who used her grandmother's Tiffany blue teacups for her wedding centerpieces. The tables were rectangular so every few place settings, a teacup was set out. She used green foam in the cup to hold up a tall white candle. Then she used flowers to fill in the cup around the candles. It was quite pretty and, surprisingly, no cups broke. She noted in her wedding program that the cups belonged to her grandmother so no one walked off with them.

  3. Calla lilies would look fine, however keep in mind that they are traditionally a funeral flower! It's only been in the last 50 years that they've become a wedding flower. However they're very popular and I think they'd look lovely. Maybe some of these will help you. Good luck!

  4. White calla lilies are gorgeous. Definitely a great flower choice.

Tiffany Blue is my favorite color, so I'm planning on incorporating it in my wedding as well. A simple but gorgeous idea: get glass, square vases and wrap them in a wide Tiffany Blue ribbon, and fill them with short bunches of flowers (like hydrangeas).

  5. I think that calla lilies would be beautiful.

Maybe what you could do is get a clear glass vase. Then you can fill the vase with tiffany blue and black stones along with the calla lilies. I think that would be beautiful.

Or, here are some other ideas that you might be able to use:

  6. i'm using tiffany blue and victorian lilac for my wedding!! i love that blue color.

hydrangeas are really pretty and will add that splash of color to your centerpieces. the calla lillies are super pretty too. you could put them in a large fishbowl type vase w/a blue floralite in the bottom to set the color off at the reception (i'll attach a link for the light website-they are cheap)

    here are some ideas:

    good luck and congrats!!!

  7. If you want to stay away from flowers in February (good call budget-wise, especially the expensive Callalilly) I saw a "Tiffany" theme wedding where the cake was made to look like a stack of Tiffany boxes, in the blue with white ribbons (all in fondant icing). For centerpieces they had smaller cakes that looked like an individual Tiffany & Co. box with a ribbon tied around it, on a silver cake platter.

It looked very classy. And it incorporated the colour very well and wasn't so big the centerpiece was in the way of people talking.

Just something different and still Tiffany Blue!
