Tiger Woods PGA 12: The Masters announcemed for Mac and PCs
Professional golfer Tiger Woods is returning to the digital platform, as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters has been announced for both Mac and PCs.
The game is set to launch on Electronic Arts’ own digital distribution platform, Origin, where gamers who Pre-Order the title can expect a nice 25% discount on the game. The game will also grant players access (in the form of a free three-month membership)
to Tiger Woods Online, which is a browser based offshoot of the series.
Mike Taramykin, the General Manager of EA Sports golf, explained, “As we continue to expand the golf portfolio, we are extremely excited about bringing the Masters Tournament and Augusta National Golf Club to all the PC/Mac owners.”
He also touched on how the game was attempting to give players on all platforms and consoles the same opportunities to play the golf simulation game.
“The Tiger Woods PGA TOUR franchise continues to lead the way in multi-platform gaming, providing video game golf experiences on various channels - from traditional consoles to social media,” he added.
The game is set to boast a number of new and improved features including a ‘Road to the Masters’ mode, which will allow players to start from scratch and work their way up the golfing ladder to earn themselves a Green Jacket. Basically, players will start
at the Amateur level, similar to Career Mode in the FIFA series.
Another mode is ‘Tiger at the Masters’ which pits players against Tiger’s previously set Masters winning scores, as players attempt to beat them. A nice touch and the mode is not just limited to Tiger’s wins either as the ‘Masters Moments’ will allow players
to play repeat the feat against some of the golfing world’s legends.
‘Photo Game Face’ is another new feature that will let players take a picture of their own real life faces and transfer them onto their character in the game.
Also the ‘Inside Augusta’ feature will allow players to see descriptions of every hole of the Augusta National Golf Club.
The game is set to hit PC’s and Mac on the 6th of September.
