Tiger Woods - Trying to get back to his place
Tiger Woods have been facing many troubles that are hovering on him since the past few months. First, the s*x scandal contaminated the impression of world’s number 1 golfer, followed by his divorce speculations, and he has been investigated by FBI for employing a Canadian doctor, Anthony Galea
The doctor has been charged because of possessing and administering human growth hormone, affected both Woods personal life as well as his career.
Recently, at the British Open pre championship press conference when media attacked Woods by asking questions on his personal life, Woods refused to reply and only said that he is trying very hard to become a good human being and a good father. Out of 36 questions Woods only replied to16.
However, things are not going well for Tiger Woods however one thing is for sure that Wood has the capability to fight back for his position in the golf era. It is believed that Woods fights like a ‘Tiger’ on the golf course, a clear example of it is the current performance of Wood in St Andrews.
At St Andrews, Woods is battling with both his game and his moods amid the carnage, which was determined not to knock someone out without a scrap.
Tiger Woods is striking about by 35 mph winds. He is shaken to the point where on the first two greens, he putted thrice. At one point, he got so frustrated that he banged one of his clubs on the ground. However, it did not stop Woods from fighting back, he kept fighting, and he made level par for his round.
Wood says:
"It was certainly one of the tougher days I've ever played, we had to grind it out, guts it out”.
"The ball was oscillating on the fairways. You just had to deal with it and be very patient."
Tiger Wood returned at 4-under par 140. He is eight shots behind the South African golfer star, Louis Oosthuizen.
Wood said:
"I'm not exactly where I want to be but today was a day I could have easily shot myself out of the tournament, especially the start I got off to, but I put it back together again and pieced together a pretty good round".
Tiger Wood is aiming to win his 15th major and open title for the fourth time. On a day when wind was blowing over 40mph, Wood fired three birdies and four bogeys.
Now as the Open is taking place at the St Andrew’s, Officials at The Open suspended the play for the first time in 12 years, last night due to the storm that hit the course. But this decision infuriated some players. Martin Kaymer, who felt the R&A were favouring Tiger Woods on the course.
“Whoever did that should be fired,” he said. “You’ve got the biggest greens in the world here, and they found the most difficult positions”.
Oliver Wilson, who opened with a 68, said that the halt was only part of the problem. He also criticized the Royal and Ancient for tough pin positions that have become difficult to access because of the direction of the wind.

Tiger Wood is hopeful that he will be able to win The Open Championship this year. He said, "I understand how to play this golf course, it’s a matter of going out there and putting it together, and putting it together at the right time."
Phil Mickelson is a known golfer. He was recently asked about Tiger Wood’s this year’s performance by reporters. Mickelson said that Tiger is a player who has a lot of heart when it comes to golf and will most certainly plays well.
Phil further said that Tiger is one of the best hitters and plays incredibly well in short games, so raising a question if he will be in the contention would not make sense.
A golfer who won 9 majors including 3 opens, Gary has warned Tiger Woods that if in his personal life he keeps repeating the mistakes than the world number 1 player will be finished .Gary is sympathetic towards Tiger. He said that as his personal problems are concerned people should not interfere and that people are too judgmental.
He said if GOD forgives you, who are we not to forgive?
Tiger said, he is really ashamed of himself and he is sorry, trying to make himself a better person.
Tiger is going through both, the physical and mental stress. Tiger Woods is a man who has the honour of winning the biggest titles which most professional’s golfers can only dream of. He has been criticized recently and the only hope for him to get his position and respect back is by winning The Open Championship.
