Tiger Woods first participated in a professional tournament on 29th August, 1996, though it was not the start he wanted considering his background and career at junior level finishing in a tied 60th position. His first victory came in the Las Vegas Invitation in which he rose to the top leaving behind Davis Love III in a sudden death.
One of the interesting facts about Tiger Woods is that whenever he proceeds to the golf course he is always accompanied by a Scotty Cameron putter. On the golf course he has Pro 90 balls with which he plays his golf with a Titleist glove on his hand. The entire outfit that he uses is from Nike, which of course is expected from a player of his repute.

Tiger Woods put the foot on the gas and had an amazing 2000 PGA Tour securing the many titles and most significant ones being The U.S Open, The British Open Championship and the Master’s Tournament. By the end of the 2000 season Tiger Woods was amongst the greatest golfers to have played. He not only grabbed three consecutive major championships and career Grand Slams but also added nine PGA tour victories in a single season.
Tiger Woods has a career highlighted with deals like the 40 million dollar deal with Nike. In 2001 when he won the Masters Tournament he became the first and only golfer to have held all four majors at the same time. The change that we see now in today’s Tiger Woods and what he was in 2001 started from 2004 when his wining form started to fade and the once unbeatable Tiger Woods had low scores. Although he won, he did not seem to be the invincible golfer that he used to be.
His streak of consecutive 142 cuts ended in 2005 after which he came back and managed to get a hold of two majors in the same year.
The year 2006 saw Tiger Woods lose his father and he was greatly upset by the fact. He took a couple of months off from the golf course. After his return, Tiger Woods missed the cut in The U.S Open.
But then trying to regain his form he had in 2000, Tiger Woods won the following two majors and managed to pull off eight victories in the next tournaments he was a part of.
2008 witnessed Tiger Woods wrap up a spectacular victory in the U.S Open. Tiger Woods, however, said that he had a torn ACL accompanied by a fracture in his leg with which he was playing. This resulted in him being not able to compete in any tournament for the next eight months. He resumed his career again in 2009 and took part in Accenture Match Play Championship.
2010 thus far has not been such a good year for Tiger Woods as he hasn’t managed to pull off any significant results. The most recent Open Championship saw him finish tied for the 23rd spot, which is not where he stands according to the standards he had set in the early part of his career.
Tiger Woods has undoubtedly proven himself as one of the greatest golfing legends of all time and he still has time to time to improve his career. After the recent troubles it is up to him to prove he still is the champion he was before.
