Tiger Woods - a man once again in form
He changed his swings, he changed his coach, he lost all his titles and his wife left him, but he regained his form -Tiger Woods: a man, a legend.
Tiger Woods stepped into the season with 82 victories in hand, but lost each one of his titles one by one. His downfall started in early 2010 from the Masters Tournament, which took place at Augusta National Golf Club. The champion seized the top fourth
spot in the event in which he had recorded three victories earlier.
His last destination was the Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne where the JB Were Australian Masters was staged. The 34-year-old vowed to defend his title, but failed. He started with 68 in the first round, 72 in the second, par in the third and 65 in the last.
Tiger has been waiting for this number all year long, but it came by only thrice. After utmost struggle, the veteran compiled the score with four birdies and two eagles.
The last eagle purged the dust of entire year and pushed the 14-time- major winner onto cloud nine. The crowd roared and applauded at Tiger, while he walked towards the clubhouse with a flashing smile. The veteran in red took off his cap and bowed amidst
a cheering crowd.
Speaking to the press, Woods said, “I’m pleased at some of the progress I have made because the streaks are now lasting longer, but I still need to do it for an entire round. And it was obvious here that I didn't do it for all 72 holes."
Improvement in Woods’ swings was observed in the Deutsche Bank Championship, when he started working with Sean Foley. For the first time in 2010, the player delivered three rounds in 60s, which was an achievement in itself. Tiger made the cut in BMW Championship
and later qualified the Ryder Cup to defeat Francesco Molinari in the singles.
Victoria has been the drought-breaking course for the player and as per his plans; Tiger will pay a visit to it in late November next year. Tiger said, "I would love to come back and play, no doubt. I think so. I have to look at it, but I would love to come
back. This has been an incredible event. Incredible people and I think it would not only be a great tournament but also a great prep for all the American players to play.”
Moreover, it is the second course on which Tiger smashed two eagles. Earlier, it was Augusta National Golf Club in the Masters tournament. The 34-year-old who is known for his fabulous chip in 2005 Masters forgot the essence of an eagle in 2010. However,
it is time that one can say next year will be an eagle fiesta for the player.
Tiger Woods will wrap his competitive year on December 5th after conclusion of the Chevron World Challenge at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. Tiger has claimed four victories and two runner-up spots in six starts of the event.
Chances are that he will stick to his form and will not disappoint his fans.
2010 is coming to an end and for the first time Tiger Woods will enter the next year without a victory. Much criticism has been raised regarding his game and his personal life, but Tiger took the harsh comments with intrigue and patience. The player was
involved in extra-marital affair with several women, which ultimately resulted in his divorce. The split had a severe impact on the American, which gave way to career downfall.
However, the player is the most eligible bachelor and is back on the track. Let’s see what is in the store for the champion who started amazing the world from a very young age.
