Tiger Woods aimed for bridging gulf between him and Masters Trophy
For the former World No. 1 Tiger Woods, it is just a matter of time before he will once again be able to enter the top tier of golfers and secure victory in the Masters event scheduled in April.
In the Honda Classic, Woods has been able to produce his best performance of the season so far by firing a 62.
With the help of this score, the golfer has been able to settle his position just two shots behind the Irish golfer Rory McIlroy in the event.
"I've been close to shooting this score, or scores like this. And it was just a matter of time before things all fell into place," Woods said.
It is important to mention here that the last time Woods was able to nail 62 was back in 2009, at the BMW Championship.
However, the audience was able to witness the return of their heartthrob when he made an excellent eagle on par five at the 18th. The legendary golfer was seen in perfect form after a long time.
Woods, who has been going through various mental and physical complications, has finally been able to get his form back with his superb game play at the Honda Classic.
He failed to make his mark at the previously held events, such as the Pebble Beach, where he had to suffer defeat at the hands of Phil Mickelson.
The losing streak continued at the Accenture Open World Match Play, where he was once again defeated by an underdog in golf, Nick Watney.
