Tiger Woods & Elin Finally ‘Divorced’; 7-Year long Marriage Ends
What started off on a wet December night has finally ended today? Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have finally declared their divorce, putting an end to the 7 year long marriage.
The 34-year-old Woods had a really tough time this season with a ruined personal life after being caught by paparazzi in non-martial affairs with a dozen ladies. With this, the trail of his mistresses started while the story of Elin ended with the world number 1. Although, Woods apologized for his illicit behavior but that did not help. In fact, it further ruined his public image. The Tiger Wood scandal first broke out in early December last year giving way to consequences such as losing the big worth of advertisements and endorsements the same year followed by defeat after defeat in various tournaments.
The once happy couple brought out a joint statement for the media stating that they were pitiful over the way their marriage had just ended but later they greeted each other and wished good luck for the future. Regarding their two kids, the couple said that they will do whatever it takes to keep them happy and also fulfill their needs. While discussing the issue of privacy, Elin added that more tough time was yet to come for both of them and their kids as they now have to adjust to their changed circumstances which include the family life as well. The lawyers of both parties had no verdict over the settlement details. However, one thing is for sure that Elin charged a good sum of money in return for the split that was caused by Woods’ illicit relationships.
A little recap of what happened last December; Tiger Woods met an accident near his home in Florida but media reports said that he was being chased by paparazzi who were constantly nagging him over his secret affair with a night club hostess. This rumor took the form of reality when Woods came in front of public and confessed his little dirty secret. This didn’t end here as all of his mistresses one by one started to come forward claiming their relationship with the world number 1. Woods ultimately had to announce an indefinite break from golf in order to address the problems in his personal life. However, the consequences of such a decision came out negative with lost sponsorships from Gatorade and Accenture followed by heavy cut down in the terms of other sponsors.
According to media reports, Woods has accepted his wrong doings and said that these should never have happened but this turned out to be the start of a spicy question and answer session for him right after the Masters at Augusta. There he finished in the 4th place with Phil Mickelson, who happens to be the world number two according to OWGR. Ever since, the Open championship came and WGC-Bridgestone invitation passed by while recently it was the Whistling Straits but Woods remained unsuccessful in all of them. The ultimate result for him is his negligible chances of representing U.S in the Ryder Cup Scheduled for Celtic Manor in October this year.
The story ends with this that the world no. 1 golf sensation Tiger Woods, who married Elin Nordegren in 2004 is finally single as the divorce between the couple has been declared today. However, nobody knows when will the black clouds in Tiger Woods’ career end?
