The Third round of the JBWere Australian Masters is currently taking place at the Victoria Club golf course in Australia. With Adam Bland leading the tournament after Friday, it looks like one of the home players will take away the title.
In the rainy weather today, Tiger Woods, who is only one of the two Americans, posted a 71 in the third round. This score has left him very far from the top of the leader board and has crushed any dreams Tiger had of defending his title.
Woods started the third round very poorly when he missed a 5 ft birdie on the opening hole. He had to three-putt twice to post bogeys through his opening six holes. It was the birdie on the last hole that saved Tiger from going over par.
Adam Bland who was still leading the leader board, only has three more holes to go. Andre Stolz and Daniel Gaunt are right behind him on the leader board. Sergio Garcia who really did well yesterday, struggled today and finished the day with a six over and
in 26th position. Woods on the other hand is in 14th place with an even par finish for the day.
Not many players have completed their eighteen holes till now, as the round is still in progress. Stuart Appleby who is tied for fourth place finished at 2-under 69.
Woods has not won a tournament since the Australian Open in 2009 and if he finishes the season without a win, it will be for the first time in fifteen years that he goes off without a title.
