Tiger Woods confident ahead of the Open Championships
It has been four years since Tiger Woods last won a major. With the Open Championship starting, this is probably the best time for Tiger to win his 15th major title. This year, he has been in sublime form, winning three times in the last seven
tournaments that he featured in.
He is currently leading the money earned list ahead of Jason Dufner, who has played two more tournaments than Tiger.
Tiger Woods has been receiving many good will messages from different circles including his fellow American golfers.
"He is won three times this year," said Watson. "I mean, has anybody else won three times this year? So I think he is doing pretty well. I have only won once. It just happened to be a major, so everybody thinks that is a big deal".
People still question whether he is really back? The fact is that he is back but he is judged by majors not by the number of titles he has won. Tiger is currently looking to break the record of the highest number major titles, held by Jack Nicklaus.
Tiger Woods arrived on Sunday at the Royal Lytham Golf Course, he has been hitting extremely well. However, he has been very skeptical about the golf course.
Tiger feels that the course is extremely difficult to play at and few of the par fives have been turned into par fours, making it even more difficult, along with 205 bunkers that are spread over the course like land mines.
Also, the weather at the course is horrible. There are extremely fast blowing winds, which can take the golf ball to a different direction.
Tiger is pretty confident and relaxed ahead of the Open Championship. He has set a specific routine for himself. Tiger has been a previous winner, three times, at the British Open.
However, this is probably a make or break situation for him, in a bid to overtake Jack Nicklaus for that illustrious record.
"Well, I am looking forward to it," said Woods of this Open Championship.
Tiger Woods has full support from his fans. Recently, at the Open, a few of them turned up in a Tiger costume.
