Tiger Woods future plans?
Tigers Woods, the professional golfer, has been much talked about since last year due to his infidelity to his wife. The four times PGA Tour winner accepted the fact that he had s*x with more than several women and is soon to be divorced by his wife.
Tiger, this year, landed in the T4 for the U.S Open, finishing at 4,5,8,9,10,13,17. Woods plans on playing the British Open later this year and is quite determined to win it.
Tiger held a press conference where reporters tried to tarnish him but this time it did not seem to work as one of the reporters asked him a question related to his marriage to which Wood’s calmly replied “that is none of your business” while another reported bombarded him in the next question asking if his divorce was final as Tiger replied to him coolly, “I'm not going to go into that”.
Woods did not reveal much detail regarding his breakup with his wife, although he did respond to one of the reporters subtly when he tried to put tiger through the mill asking him when he will start respecting the game as he spits on course throwing tantrums and clubs around; Tiger said he was trying to be a better person and working on becoming a better player too. Out of the 34 questions that were asked to Woods only 16 of them were linked to Golf while the rest were directed towards his personal life.
The way Wood has played countless times on St. Andrew giving show stopping performances makes it look like he owns the course. Wood obtained his first British open trophy “Claret Jug” in 2000 while making sure he did not hit any bunkers on the course, he talked about control on many occasions during short post match interviews. Tiger won the British open for the first time by eight shots. The same very year he won the U.S Open, PGA Tour Championship and the Open Championship leaving the golf fanatics stunt.
This year might have come off quite hard on the aspiring player but he is quite confident about his future and plans on obtaining the Claret Jug again. Tiger Woods is the only one ever to win the British Open three times, even amongst his top rivals no one has seemed to gather the courage or shown enough strength as a player to win the prestigious British Open.
Phil Mickelson a famous golfer was recently asked by reporters on how he felt about Tiger’s performance this year. Phil stated that Tiger is a player who has a lot of heart when it comes to golf and will most certainly play well. He also said that Tiger is one of the best hitters and plays incredibly well in short games, so raising a question if he will be in the contention would not make sense according to Phil.
Woods is a man who has won the biggest major titles that most professional golfers have only dreamt off. He is a man who once married a beautiful model after only knowing her for a few months and roamed around with his head held high, with millions of dollars flowing into his bank accounts with major sponsorships. Tiger is now someone who can barely walk in peace, with terrible remarks and questions thrown at him relating to his scandal.
However his image as a person might not be the same as it once was, Woods is still a remarkable player who is going to give a tough time to his competitors on St. Andrew’s as has in previous years.
Woods said, "I understand how to play this golf course, it’s a matter of going out there and putting it together, and putting it together at the right time."
