Tiger Woods hopes Tseng will get back on her winning track soon
Former world number one PGA (Professional Golf Association) superstar Tiger Woods , who is no stranger to ups and downs in his pro career, has heaped praise on Yani Tseng, saying the LPGA (Ladies Professional
Golf Association) star will bounce back soon despite her failing to prove mettle in recent tournaments.
Woods saw the roughest time in his professional career last year, as his performance dipped to an all-time low, and his swing worsened. However, the golfing sensation appears keen to give some meaningful advice
to struggling Tseng who is going through the same as Woods did a year back.
Although still standing firm at the top position in the Women’s World Golf Rankings, Tseng appears to have lost her momentum in recent tournaments as her performance looked worst on the course. Tseng not only
finished outside the top 50 in most of the recent events, but she also missed the cut in a few tournaments — something taking a seriously toll on her overall credibility.
With critics asking whether the current world number one LPGA star is able to get back on her winning track, there are some prominent names that are not ready to give up on Tseng — and Woods is one of them.
Woods recently spoke to the media and expressed his feeling about what he thinks Tseng will do in coming months. The American star said that he has seen Tseng show her skills on the course and he likes to put
his complete trust in her still-solid game.
When asked whether the Taiwanese golfer make a comeback in the season, Woods said that ups and downs are inevitable in professional golf, so it is not impossible for Tseng to rebound.
Woods pointed out that due to staying in the sport for a long time, there are times when a player starts to feel pressure and sees his or her game slump.
“We're all going to go through those lulls. You play this game long enough, it's going to happen,” Woods said while speaking to SB Nation. “She's just way too talented, and I'm sure she's going to win so many
more major championships and tournaments”.
The PGA prodigy said that he is very much impressed by Tseng’s stunning victories in the major LPGA tournaments. “[Tseng has] won five major championships -- earlier than anybody in golf history -- so hats
off to her.  She'll be back”.
