Tiger Woods hopes preparation to materialise at Honda Classic
Palm Beach is one of the most panoramic and mind boggling locations that could be chosen for the Honda Classic.
However, despite all this beauty, the event has some crucial importance for many golfers becoming a part of it, most importantly for the legendary golfer Tiger Woods.
After his constantly slumping performance at the Pebble Beach and then at the World Match Play, the player is searching for a breakthrough.
At Pebble Beach, he was defeated by his long time rival Phil Mickelson and at Accenture Open, he failed to make the cut against Nick Watney.
With Woods already struggling to overcome the trauma of the loss at these events, little did he know that another one was just in the pipeline.
His former swing coach, Hank Haney is soon launching a book, entitled ‘The Big Miss’, based on the life and experiences of Tiger Woods.
Woods has already refused to comment anything on the book or on the information it contains.
According to experts, at present, he is busy in overcoming the complications he is confronted with in the form of putting and swinging on the course.
As for the book, he has only stated that his disappointment regarding Haney has still not altered.
Other than Woods, players who have been able to grab the trophy at Honda Classic include Ernie Els, current World No. 1 Luke Donald, Johnny Miller, Hale Irwin, and the legendary Jack Nicklaus.
Pundits believe that Woods' comparison with Nicklaus is also harming his reputation to a certain extent.
It is important to mention here that from the year 1962 till 1998, when Nicklaus enjoyed the peak of his career on the golf course, he was free from all kind of injuries and complications.
This proved to the key aspect that helped him in surging his career and festoons his portfolio.
The situation is not the same in the case of Woods. He has not just been affected by professional, but personal problems also. All this has severely affected his performance.
Just when he thought he will be able to overcome all these issues, new problems began to emerge, posing a further threat to his performance on the course.
