Tiger Woods lashes out at Hank Haney over book
Tiger Woods slammed his former coach, Hank Haney, because he is going to launch a book about his time with the star player.
Hank Haney, who is best known for his professional coaching, recently announced that he has written a book that sheds light on his time with the former world number one as a coach.
Haney told he is planning to unveil the book titled "The Big Miss" just a few days before the Masters begins, in April this season.
Hank Haney spent over 6 years with the former world number one. However, Woods parted his ways with him in 2010, and started working with Sean Foley.
It is worth mentioning that Haney claimed that Woods will not mind reading the book, as it completely leaves out his s*x scandals and other personal issues.
On the other hand, Woods said that Haney never told him about his plans to write a book that could hurt his feelings.
Sharing his thoughts in an interview, Woods said that he did not think Haney would discuss him in detail in his new book.
"I think it's unprofessional and very disappointing. Especially because it's someone I worked with and trusted as a friend," Woods frowned.
He went on, "There have been other one-sided books about me and I think people understand that this book is about money. I'm not going to waste my time reading it. I just think this book is very self-serving".
When asked if he would like to have a look at the book once it is available on the market, Woods said that none of his family members would want to read the book.
Although Haney said that the book leaves out Woods's s*x scandals and other personal issues, it still infuriated the 14-time grand slam winner.
The book's name "The Big Miss" refers to Woods's constant fear of one lousy shot that could mar his position in a match.
Working with his former swing coach proved lucky for Woods, as he rose to prominence during Haney's 6-year stint.
The American star has grabbed 14 major titles so far, and six of them were racked up while working with Haney.
