He is in the field of Team Albany and competing well against the others.
He sustained an Achilles injury while playing the final round of the Cadillac Championship, a World Golf Championship in Doral Florida. Woods is continuing his game after a brief recovery period.
Tiger Woods is back to golf and displaying his leading performance again in Florida. He was paired with the English Justin Rose and scored a 9-under par in the first round impressively.
"I did the smart and prudent thing this time, hence I'm back in a week," said the 36-year-old who quit in Doral with seven holes of his final round remaining.
He added, "I've played through pain before and set myself back. Last year I missed two majors because of it. I want to be ready for Augusta".
Currently, Team Isleworth is on the top of the leaderboard as it scored a 26-under par. It has a two-stroke lead over the defending champion, Team Lake Nona and a three-stroke lead over Woods' team, Albany.
After the great performance from the 14-time grand slam winner, it is confirmed that he is healthy and has recovered from his injury.
The Tavistock Cup is a two-day tournament and will finish on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
From Thursday, March 22, Woods will be joining the field of the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard, at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Florida.
"I'll be there, don't worry about it," Woods said. "The leg’s good now. I took a couple of days off, got some treatment on it. I got the go-ahead to start hitting balls [Friday] and start ramping up and get ready for Bay Hill".
This event is staged by the PGA and is the last tune-up match for Woods, before the Masters Tournament.
The former No. 1 golf player is hoping to win the 15th major this year by putting in extra efforts at Augusta.
