Tiger Woods ready for a return after injury at Bay Hill - Golf News
After recovering from the Achilles tendon injury, the legendary Tiger Woods is ready to make a start on the PGA Tour through the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
The event is scheduled to start from March 22, 2012. According to Woods, he is fully back into shape to play normal golf again.
He participated in the two-day Tavistock Cup exhibition from March 19 to 20, 2012, prior to the Pro-Am round on Wednesday, March 21, 2012.
Golf experts believe that Woods is playing too much golf, which can cause him more troubles in the future.
Playing continuously throughout the week can cause his injury to return, forcing him to withdraw from the Masters Tournament.
On the other hand, Woods thinks the opposite. He thinks the tough schedule will help him confirm his current injury condition.
Moreover, the Tavistock Cup exhibition was held at the Augusta National where Woods wanted to have some practice prior to the Masters Tournament that starts in April.
"It felt great at Augusta and that was the test," the 14-time major champion said. "I played Tavistock because of that test and here I am ready to go".
He also commented about the return of the injury and said that it can come at anytime. Therefore, he cannot miss any of his scheduled event thinking about it.
He added by saying that proper treatment at the right time can help him recover within a few days. Therefore, he is not too worried about it anymore.
"That's one of the reasons why I wasn't really that concerned about it, that I would come back and play these events, because when it gets that tight, treatment for two or three days, it's all fine, all the swelling goes way and I'm good to go," Woods said.
According to Woods, he is fit and there is no sign of pain in his Achilles tendon. He, therefore, gave credit to his therapists who helped him recover so quickly.
Woods is now aiming his seventh victory at Bay Hill to give a boost to his confidence that will help him achieve his target of another major title win in his career.
