Tiger Woods return in 2011 expected to be a ferocious one
This year the biggest downfall in the history of golf struck the fourteen-time major championship winner Tiger Woods. It was the first time in his career that Tiger did not win a single tournament. As 2011 is nearby, popular opinion
is that the ex-top cat of golf will definitely make a ferocious comeback.
A US reporter at the recently held ADT skills Challenge asked another American professional golfer Ricky Barnes about how a player like Tiger Woods is expected to perform in the year to come.
About Wood’s revival, Barnes said "I think everything's maybe going to start mellowing out in his life on and off the golf course and the guy's way too good, way too talented and way too determined to go a year and not win,
so I'm sure, if anything, this is probably the most pissed off as he's been after a full season.”
Barnes did say the right thing seeing how Tiger lost his wife, his happy family, his number one rank and the respect he once received all around the world. Tiger was looked upon as a noble talented golfer, husband, dad, and is
now perceived as a weak infidel. Weak in the sense that right after tragedy struck in Woods personal life, his career and his game got equally affected. The last tournament that Woods won was the Australian Masters in 2009. Following his win, Tiger crashed
his car outside his Florida house leading to a series of revelations about Tiger’s affairs with an array of mistresses.
Being caught in such scandals was obviously going to cause some disruptions in Tiger’s marriage. Tiger and his wife Elin Nordegren tried several methods to save their marriage; from s*x addiction rehab for Tiger to counselling
sessions for the couple; however, nothing seems to have saved the drowning boat. In August this year, the couple called it quits and got divorced.
This whole year Tiger really has been struggling. With constantly being defamed by the media, Woods was certainly not at his playing best. Tiger posted his career worst score when he came 78 in an 80-man field at the Bridgestone
invitational. As a result, Woods even lost his rank that he had held on to for five years. Lee Westwood dethroned Woods as World’s best golfer on October 31.
With so many disappointments in one year, no one would be happier than Woods for this year to end. As they always say there is always sunshine after the storm, well Tiger is really hoping for a pleasant forecast in 2011.
