  1. Davis is in a passing offense. The problem is Martz offenses don't throw the ball to the tight ends....and Daniels will have the same season every year 600 yards  and 6 tds....but if Daniels is still available and you already have Davis I would hold onto to Davis for a few weeks to see if they throw to him. Niners don't have very good receivers. So he may become J.T's favorite target...If Daniels is still available then no one will probably pick him up until the bye weeks start. Give Davis two games and if he is getting 5 or 6 catches and at least 1 td, then he should have a decent year. I think you will get about the same thing from both TE's as long as Davis doesn't get hurt.

    good luck

  2. New Offensive Couch Mike Martz wants Davis in his arsenal this season and plans on using him in the offense quite a bit this season. Davis will be a breakout third season. After all, that's when many wide receivers begin to blossom, and Davis is more wide receiver than tight end. Daniels is a good TE but Houston have better Receivers then San Fransisco.

Go with Davis on this one, Good Luck!

  3. You should check out this fantasy football site.  It has a story about TE and Vernon Davis in particular:

  4. Yeah, I'd rather have Daniels.

  5. "The Pain Train" has better potential, but Owen Daniels is better right now...

  6. george makes sense. but look at the Rams and the Lions when Martz was there. WR and RB got lots of rec, TE were rarly used. Not needed in 4-5 wide, are they?
