  1. Just tell your parents about it, I'm sure they will understand. Explain to them that you need one for your swim team and that you can't be competitive without one. Once they are convinced you'll be free to buy one.

  2. You might be able to use a safety pin with the big pin part in your Speedo like you put it on from the inside instead of the outside so that just a little bit of the small metal bar shows. That should work either way, otherwise there's not much, machine-washing any competitive swim suit will loosen it up, not tighten it like you would expect for a new cotton t-shirt.

  3. Just tell them that a lot of guys wear them and make something up like they make you go faster or they are more drag during practice so that will make me a better swimmer.

  4. why don't you buy a pair of jammers, they aren't skimpy brief style trunks, more like cycling shorts. You'll maybe feel a bit less self conscious wearing those? They are still designed for competitive swimming.

  5. try to talk your parents into letting you have a speedo.  guys on my swim team wear speedos and they are straight! alot of world class swimmers use speedos.

  6. ALL male swimmers wear Speedo and I do not think ANY of them are g*y.

Where your parents got that idea, I have no clue, if they did some research on swimming they would find that all male swimmers wear Speedo.

Tell them this and have them do some research on it. If they still do not want you wearing one...just wear the tightest suit that you have. Suits that are clostest to the skin will make you go the fastest.

    Good luck! K

  7. Go get yourself a prepaid credit card or girt card form like walmart for a place like amazon.com and then order it online. I pretty sure you can get a pre paid paypal card nowadays. Then you can bid on one on ebay. If not go pick one up at your local sporting goods store. I've gotten them from both Chick's and Big 5 usually has some good sales.

  8. hmm if i were u id tell them to drop me off at the nearest sports authority or any sport shop nearby to meet a friend and buy it

  9. Your question confuses me a bit. I'm going to assume you're a competitive swimmer.

If you want to keep a bathing suit in good condition for a long time, after swimming, you should rinse it out in tap water, squeeze out excess water, and hang it up to dry.

I know plenty of guys that wear Speedos. It seems that as they get older, they're more inclined towards them. The guys' team at my school all wear speedos, and none of them are g*y. You should mention that to your parents, because if you're sneaky about buying Speedos, then they'll be suspicious of your sexual status / why you were being sneaky about it in the first place.

However, to get the most out of your practice, you should wear a dragsuit (they're loose and come in mesh or bathing suit material) over your speedo. It also keeps your 'junk' from being obviously hanging out, thus giving you a bit more modesty.

  10. if you swim regularly then a tight fitting brief or short is essential as it reduces drag in the water. all swimmers wore them before all in one bodysuits. doesnt mean you are g*y. finding the same s*x attractive means you are g*y. do your parents understand this ??
