Tighten suspension on a 106?

So there i was, picking my Mum & Brother up from shopping. Weekly shop in the boot, my bro in the back and me and my mum in the front. Driving down the road i can hear something rubbing coming from the left back of the car. I just had 15" alloys fitted so i thought it must be them. I told my brother to move to the other side of the car, but still i can hear the rubbing noise. Even with me and my brother on the right side of the car, the left was still rubbing. The right wasn't, so i thought maybe it aint the tires. Coz surely, both would do it and not just one side?

Suspension i have is standard. I have a 95 N-reg 106.

Is there anyway of tighten the suspension on the back?

Can i take it to a garage and have them do it?

Thanks.

  1. not really possable to tighten them up..ther use a tortion bar system...you can LIFT it one notch....sounds as though youve the wrong tyre profile or the wheels arnt the correct dimentions for the car...ive 16's on mine and they never catch...

  2. new standerd springs and a set of gas shocks sorted

  3. you might have a weak spring or shock on that side.

  4. It sounds like the wrong size tyres.

  5. sounds as if the shocks are bad..or the wheels you put on are to big
