Tiling job in florida

Question

i have a tile job of 1100 sq ft home the house 700 sq ft is pre tiled so i need to take them off and the rest is carpet which i also need to rip off !!! how much should i be charging for the demo part and the re tiling the whole house again !? please if you dont know dont answer , thank you up front to all !

I usually charge $1.00 a sq. yd. for the carpet

You might be able to play with those figures since it is a big job & also depending on if you're responsible for the disposal.

With your added info I think my fees would be good. Try to figure out how many hrs it's gonna take & how much you want to make for your time. Get a couple of teens & give them $10.00 an hr to help.

Do you have an electric floor scraper ? Both the carpet and the tile are probably glued down. I wouldn't even try it without an electric scraper. Figure that the floors have to be pristine clean before new carpet and tile can be installed.

Prices vary by locale, I'd talk to some of my friends in the trade to see how they would price it out. Get ready for some bull work.
