Pakistan’s skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 and Sri Lankan skipper Tillakaratne Dilshan have raised their voices for the use of Decision Review System (DRS) in all International games.
Currently, Sri Lanka and Pakistan are playing against each other in a three-match Test series, with the Green Shirts 1-0 ahead.
The second Test match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, which Sri Lanka lost by nine wickets, saw many debatable decisions.
Dilshan has called for DRS, as the key player of his team, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Anthony-John-Hill-c45001, which left many confusions when replays were shown.
Dilshan was quite unhappy over the decision and the frustration increased as there was no DRS in the series, due to which they were unable to challenge the decisions.
"I cannot comment over what went wrong on the decisions. I am very happy if the DRS is there when the match is going 50-50, it is important to have it," said Dilshan, who was wrongly adjudged caught behind in the drawn first Test
in Abu Dhabi.
Dilshan told the media reporters that he had spoken in favour of using the technology in the series as it helps the umpires when it comes to dubious decisions.
The first Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan ended in a draw, despite the Green Shirts dominating most of the part of game.
Dilshan said that if the bowlers and batsman can get 100 per cent correct decisions, it is really good, and especially the technology is required in the longest format of the cricket.
On the other hand, Misbah said that he has always been in favour of the use of DRS because it helps teams as well as the umpires, and it should be mandatory in all International games.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) last month announced that they will use the DRS technology only in their five-match One-Day International series against Sri Lanka.
The third Test match between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 will be played on November 3, 2011, at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium.
