Tilsworth Glenboy, the one to support in Inkerman London Handicap at Nottingham
Following an easy win last week, Tilsworth Glenboy has earned the highest starting price for Inkerman London Handicap (Betfair 10 Furlong Flat Series Qualifier), set to take place at Nottingham on Friday, May 11th.
At the start of this month, Tilsworth Glenboy stunned everyone with a fabulous effort in the havenholidayhomes.co.uk Handicap at Yarmouth, where the ground was quite heavy.
Under Frederik Tylicki, J. R. Jenkins’ trainee did a fine job all the way through. Although he was not among the leaders early on, his fantastic work in the final stages of the event helped him seize the top place by four and
a half lengths.
The M. Ng-owned is going to face similar conditions today and thus, one can easily expect him to steal the show. The bay gelding does not have much time to get ready, as the 1m2f50y event is about to begin.
According to the plan, the class 5 meeting will be started at 20:30 GMT. More than a dozen runners are geared up to compete for a purse worth £3,235.
Their names are: Tilsworth Glenboy, Resplendent Alpha, The Lock Master, Effigy, Highlife Dancer, My Mate Jake, King Zeal, Mighty Clarets, Searing Heat, Follow The Flag, Nolecce, Cobbs Quay, Lady Of Burgundy and Menadati.
Resplendent Alpha is another strong contender for the top prize. After a dismal show at the start of May, the 8-year-old improved his work significantly.
The 32Red.com Handicap saw him finishing on top of the table by ½ a length earlier this week. Alastair Lidderdale’s trainee is brimming with confidence after a recent strike and thus, it would be unwise to ignore his chances.
The Lock Master is not in good form these days, but one cannot afford to rule him out of the equation. In his last trip, the five-year-old was a bit unlucky, as he missed the third place just by a short head’s distance.
According to our calculations, it is going to be a hard battle between Tilsworth Glenboy and Resplendent Alpha. Our vote goes to Tilsworth Glenboy, who was mighty impressive in the heavy conditions last week. We wish the best
of luck to everyone.
