After delivering a humiliating defeat to the Indian tourists in the recently concluded Test series, England’s star pacer, Tim Bresnan, came out confident, stating that his side will deliver another whitewash to the visitors in the upcoming One Day International
(ODI) series.
The competition is set to begin following a one-off Twenty 20 match on August 31, after which England will take on India in the 5-match ODI series set to begin on September 3rd, wrapping up with the 5th and final match on September
16.
As for the matter, Bresnan’s statement may have come out for many reasons, but two being the main of all.
First, England retained an upper hand throughout the 4 Test series, despite India’s out loud brags for its star line-up, who was to add wonders to the competition, prior to the official kick off to the series. At the same time, India’s over confidence for
holding the Test rankings summit.
Second, for the ODI series, India might be the world champion under the format, however, giving all this a reality check, the visitors will be stepping out for the competition with some major exclusions on its squads; and major means players such like Gautam
Gambhir, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yuvraj-Singh-c98364.
“http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758,” said Bresnan.

“If we hit our straps against India we should get the result we’re after. We hit them hard in the Test matches and we'll be looking to do the same in the one-dayers.”
However, the modest Bresnan also commended India for being a top team, but at the same time cited that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 will be looking into marking a streak of wins in all the remaining fixtures.
Bresnan’s fortunate inclusion on England’s playing XI, following spearhead, Chris Tremlett’s injury, turned quite favourable for the team. Since his appearance from the second match, the player made sure to walk off the field with some fair number of wickets
in his hand.
Not only with the bowl, Bresnan also proved his bronze with the bats, scoring a solid 90 during the second match followed by a half ton on the third.
