day age.
With many criticizing the ICC’s decision to move the Test Championship to 2017 in favour of the Champions Trophy ( 50-over game), many believed that this implementation could dealt a serious blow for the longevity of the five-day game.
Also many former captains, the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Paul-Vaughan-c76145 had voiced their concerns over such decision, however, Bresnan feels that it was always his dream to play Test cricket.
"No, I don't fear for Test cricket at all."It's still the best form of the game, it can evolve over a long period of time. It was the game when I was a young kid, it was the dream to play Test cricket for England," said Bresnan.
The 26-year-old also feels that now the team has reached the top, it does make a whole a lot difficult for the them to continue their dominancy as the rest of pack will be gearing to topple them. However, the player feels that the quality in the squad will
ensure that the team plays to the same potential, which has seen them, beat all top cricketing nations in the past 12 months.
"Everyone else is chasing us down now so I think it will be more difficult because we are the team to beat."But having said that I think we'll show the same mentality as in the last 12 months when we've been driven to become the number one. The lads are
still striving to improve," added Bresnan.
