http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711 keen to add 3rd Test victory as a positive sign in blazing London – Cricket News Update
Tim Bresnan, the English pacer, aims at winning the 3rd npower Test against India, and use the victory as a sign of peace and positivity, in order to calm down the current unrest in London. He thinks that the ongoing unrest in the county has nothing
to do with their cricket, as they are safe and playing with peace of mind.
Almost all the major cities of England have been affected by the rioters, who are engaged in subversive activities like looting, burning, beating and blocking. This has sparked sour feelings all over the country and the general public is very scared.
The demonstrations started three days back, when a man died in the custody of the local police. Now, the frenzied mobs have merged some other issues with this incident to justify their violent fray.
Bresnan opines that the ongoing high-stakes Test match may spread some good feelings in the country and bring smiles on the worried faces of the English people.
Talking to the media, the pacer said, “It would be nice to win and just give something positive back to
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013.”
He also told, “I would not say we are motivated by what is happening. We are going about our business as if nothing is happening and that is the right way to do it. We have got a job to do like anyone else."
The match started yesterday at Edgbaston, Birmingham. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 batted first and scored only 224 in their first innings, thanks to the destructive bowling attack of the Poms. Before close of Day 1's play, England had made 84 for no loss.
Bresnan performed very well and grabbed 4 wickets, conceding 62 runs in his 20-over spell. Bresnan, who was brought in the team as a substitute for injured Chris Tremlett, for the 2nd Test, cemented his place by taking 7 wickets at Trent Bridge.
The 26-year-old right-arm pacer has played 8 Tests so far with 32 wickets to his name. He made his Test debut in May 2009 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 at Lord’s, the Home of Cricket.
