Tim Bresnan likely to rejoin England team for one-day leg of UAE tour - Cricket News Update

The 26-year-old http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yorkshire-c867 pacer passed an extensive fitness test in the UK on Thursday and was cleared to play for the side ahead of the one-day leg of the ongoing tour of UAE. He is likely to be part of the England squad that will
play the practice one-day match against the England http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808 in Abu Dhabi on February 10. The match has been scheduled to provide the English players much needed limited-overs match practice ahead of the four-match One Day International series against Pakistan
starting at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Imtiaz-Sheikh-c64290 Zayed Stadium of Abu Dhabi on Monday, February 13, 2012.
The all-rounder had undergone an elbow surgery in December last year and was part of the squad that had arrived in Dubai earlier last month to play the ongoing three-match Test series. But after feeling discomfort while bowling in
the nets ahead of the series opener, he was sent back home for rehabilitation.
After successfully passing an extensive fitness test at Headingley on Thursday, the right arm medium pacer has been cleared by the physio and selectors to rejoin the squad, which is struggling against the relatively inexperienced
Pakistan side in the ongoing Test series.
Bresnan, a prolific right-arm medium pacer and a useful right handed batsman, has not played in an international match since October 29, 2011. To date he has played 57 One Day Internationals and 20 T20 Internationals claiming 68
and 14 wickets in each format respectively. So far, he has played 10 Tests for England, all won by the Poms.
England is likely to announce its squad for the one-day and T20 series by the end of the third and final Test against Pakistan, underway in Dubai since Friday, February 3, 2012.
