Tim Bresnan wants to continue winning after impressive start against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 – ICC World Cup 2011
England fast bowler, Tim Bresnan, is happy with the performance of his team in their first two matches of the ICC World Cup 2011. He thinks that the team is peaking at the right time and was set to make life tough for the rest of the opposition in the remainder
of the tournament. The right arm paceman was of the opinion that the team has a potent attack that can take the team through to the last four and potentially to the title. A World Cup trophy win is a feat that they have not managed in the last nine editions
of the tournament.
"There's not a lot of margin for error on these wickets," Bresnan said. "The Holland pitch was a very good wicket and the one the other night was probably the best we've ever seen to play on, I mean 330 plays 330, you can't really argue with that. Jimmy
[Anderson] will be disappointed with his performance but he's a quality bowler”.
He added that Anderson’s bad performance in the first two matches does not in any way mean that he is not going to have an impact in the tournament. He thinks that he has the ability to bounce back from that and lead England’s campaign in the tournament
as the spearhead of the attack. Bresnan further stated that his presence would help improve the performance of the bowling line-up that is gelling well as a unit.
Bresnan also thinks that conditions in the first two games have been pro-batsmen and have very little in them for the pace bowlers. Anderson has been one of the leading bowlers in the world in helpful seaming conditions and can also reverse the ball at the
death overs and he thinks that variation is the key as the batsmen can only be dismissed by having them on a tight leash and forcing them to make mistakes.
"It's not swinging a great deal up the top and it's not really moving off the seam, so it's quite difficult to take wickets without using variations," he said. "You've just got to mix it up as much as you can and try to create pressure
and get wickets that way.
Bresnan took the key wicket of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Virender-Sehwag-c95429 at the start of the innings and he was more potent at the death taking four more wickets which choked the Indians and hauled the total in by at least 30 runs. The clutter of wickets was the
difference at the end as the match ended in a dramatic tie after a splendid century by English captain, Andrew Strauss.
Bresnan has devised a strategy for opening the attack.  He thinks that the bowlers cannot get away with anything wide of off stump. He also thinks that it is more important to cramp the batsmen for room as even the line bang on off stump
is still wide to some players.
According to the pacer, different players have their different areas and it's quite difficult to keep it in an area where they can't score, he thinks that a proper and concerted effort is required to strangle the batsmen when the Powerplays
are on.
England is playing http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ireland-c751 at Bangalore and would be hoping to keep the magic of the encounter against India. They are expected to put the minnows under intense pressure in a game where a win would boost their chances of qualifying for
the knock out round. England is hoping to top the group and coast through the quarterfinals, for them to do so they have to beat the mighty South Africans and the mercurial West Indians.
