STARBUCKS!!!!  Even though my sister owns a Tim's, I would never drink that swamp swill... yech.  Go to Satrbucks... real coffee.

It really depends on your preference and how much you are willing to pay. There are many coffee shops, and coffee/donut shop in Toronto.

Probably the best is organic coffee made with the freshest beans you can find in a health food store, that you grind yourself and brew in your own coffee maker.

I find that Tim Hortons coffee isn't the same as it was years ago (used to work at one for 2 weeks too it was a horrible experience for me).  Starbucks is too strong and bitter for me, even their breakfast blend is which is suposed to be their mildest coffee.

Interestingly enough, my friend told me that there was a poll done on coffees, guess which one beat out the others...McDonald's coffee!

Timmies is coffee and donuts that's it they just have the money for really good marketing.  Starbucks really sucks people their coffee is burnt and bitter.  I really prefer to brew my own.

Depends on if you like coffee. I still like Starbucks, because I like a strong coffee. But Second Cup and Timothy's are selling second rate coffee for the same price as Starbucks. Tim's is OK, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it, nor any of the others. ITimmies's is definitely the most successful Canadian chain, but that does not always correlate into the best product. I know people that swear by Country Style. It ALL depends on taste. So I'd say a lot of shops sell better coffee, they just don't have better advertising or marketing.

Starbucks!!!!! Love it!!! I'm in a tiny town and we have 2 Tim's, whenever I get to the city Starbucks is my first stop. My friend also really likes Robbins Donuts. She says the coffee is way better than Tims.

You will find lots of coffee shops that serve better coffee, but they are not franchised.

for example JJ Beans  a Vancouver based roaster supplies beans for many of the local shops and has store fronts of their own.

The same goes for Bean Around the World and Milano which is a roasting company that has retail operations known as Turks.

They blow any of the mega franchises out of the water.

It depends on were you live really.

The Tim Horton foundation however is fantastic and gives so much to the community at large. I would support them as well.

Tims has the best coffee, but i prefer the food items just about everywhere else.
