http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tim-Howard-c35095, believes his side have got enough quality in their ranks to finish inside the top four this season.
The Merseyside club have been one of the most consistent teams in the competition since the start of the year.
Currently, they occupy the fourth place on the league table, having gathered 17 points from their 10 games. During this period, they ended up on the losing side just once.
Their sublime start to season is a continuation of their blistering form in the closing stages of the previous campaign, which saw them conclude the term on a nine match unbeaten run.
Already, they have come up with strong performances against some of the best sides in the league, stunning leaders, Manchester United 1-0 at Goodison Park on the opening day.
After witnessing what has transpired for them thus far, the American International was optimistic about their chances of securing a Champions League berth this term.
He said that they possessed enough quality and strength to weather the testing and challenging demands of the Premier League over a period of 38 games. He also claimed that they have got what it takes to be a consistent unit throughout the season.
Everton finished the table in the 7th place in the preceding term.
“I think there are certain teams where, if they play as well as they possibly can over 38 games, the best position they can probably finish in is 10th because that is the quality they have, and that is the reality of it,” he told the reporters.
“But the reality of our situation is that if we play really well over the course of 38 games, we have the talent to finish fourth.”
“There is not a lack of quality - it is just about making sure we stay consistent over the long haul.”
The Toffees will square off against Sunderland at Goodison Park on Saturday, with an aim of closing the gap on their top-four rivals. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes’ unit have played 4 draws on the bounce and will be eager to get back to winning ways.
