Tim Hudson entry will renew Atlanta Braves 2012 Major League regular season chances - MLB Update
Tim Hudson returns to Spring Training after undergoing back surgery four months back. His recovery has spelled positives for Atlanta Braves with regards to the regular season.
Although it is not yet confirmed how comfortable he feels at the mound, few games he is set to play will determine his journey to the regular season.
He was immediately withdrawn in the game because an objective was just to see his accuracy toward the plate. Somehow he has impressed management to an extent that he may be starting on April 12, in a regular season home opener.
“Two innings, make sure he knows where the plate is, and go forward,” said manager Fredi Gonzalez. “That’s all. And just keep going forward. Make sure he gets in that five-day rotation and he’s healthy.”
However how he fares at Class-A Rome and Triple-A Gwinnett, as he is scheduled to experience few starts there, will actually decide his fate for the season.
Hudson is one of the most dependable players for club and one of the reasons why the club disappointed heavily in Spring Training can be cited to his absence. His 1699 career strike-outs and an incredible 181 wins speak volumes of his significance to the
club.
Tim is a tremendous player with immense talent. The Braves will be hoping for his quick recovery as they will need his skills later in the season.

“Things are good, man,” said Hudson. “The arm feels good. It’s getting in shape. My arm strength isn’t quite where I want it, but it’s pretty good for the stage of where I’m at – I’m in what amounts to the second week of spring training for me.”
He has to be cautious revolving his arms in next couple of games. Little negligence may even prolong his entry to the regular season.
Ever since Spring Training, only weak-link Braves suffered with has been an unavailability of a genuine starter to them.
They posted relatively better runs in some games, but since they did not receive much support from their pitchers, they eventually lose. With Hudson into the team, their season prospects will renew and thus management will be looking forward to his early
return to the big stage.
