Lincecum is seeking the richest ever contract in salary arbitration, surpassing the $10million awarded to Alfonso Soriano, Francisco Rodriguez and Ryan Howard.

Lincecum won his second consecutive NL Cy Young award last year, becoming the first person to do so since Randy Johnson in 1999-2000. He has led the league in strikeouts over the past two years and has a 2.55 ERA over that time and leads the way in winning percentage with 73%.

He could easily have asked for more and probably would have won his case.
