Tim Matavz delighted to be a part of PSV Eindhoven squad – Dutch Eredivisie news
Newly acquired PSV Eindhoven striker, Tim Matavz, has expressed that he is extremely delighted to be a part of the Boeren squad for the 2011/12 campaign. PSV managed to lure the 22-year-old on the final day of the recently concluded summer transfer window
for 5.5 million Euros from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 that will run until the summer of 2016.
The Slovenian ace was a part of the Green-White-Army since his arrival at Euroborg Stadion in the summer of 2007. The striker netted an impressive 35 goals in over 75 appearances in his four-season stay in Groningen.
The young striker expressed his happiness after arriving at Philips Stadion and revealed his ambitions clearly that he has come to Eindhoven to score goals.
“I have a good feeling about my move. It went a long time, but everything worked out eventually and I am really happy to be at PSV. I want to play well and score a lot of goals”, Matavz said while talking to the media.
The youngster then went on to reveal that he likes to have the ball in the penalty area as he believes that he is a good finisher.
“I am a player who likes to have the ball in the box and who can go deep when required. In my opinion, these are my main qualities”, the 22-year-old added.
The Slovenian hitman believes that his move from Groningen to Eindhoven will prove to be an ideal step in his career.
“PSV competes for the title and play in Europe every year and I think that this is an ideal step for me in my career. I want to develop and become a better player”, Matavz concluded.
The striker had his first training session at Philips Stadion under the head coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fred-c14136 Rutten, on Wednesday, September 7. The 22-year-old would be looking to perform at his best while leading the Boeren’s attack pack this season and cement his place in
the starting eleven.
