"I think everyone close to cricket realizes the power of the BCCI because their commercial capability is huge," Tim added.
In India’s ongoing Test series against England, the use of Decision Review System (DRS) is not being used for leg-before-wicket decisions, as BCCI did not agree on its use.
May stated that the policies for playing Tests should be consistent for every team from series to series. The umpire said that changing rules and creating amendments leads to confusion, not only for the players but also for the umpires and spectators.
The chief also said that ICC’s acceptance of India’s suggestions regarding the referral system is a clear example of the country’s influence on the global governing body.
