Tim Paine ruled out of India series - Cricket News Update
Australia’s backup wicketkeeper, Tim Paine, has been ruled out of the whole season after he was forced to undergo a surgery on his injured right index finger.
The Cricket Australia doctor, Trefor James confirmed Paine underwent a surgery on right index finger on Wednesday adding that his recovery had been slower than anticipated.
"Tim Paine's recovery from surgery for a fractured finger has been slower than expected. Tim has been reviewed by specialists and CA medical staff,” said James while talking to the media reporters on Wednesday.
"It is clear that the fracture has not healed as expected and the best course of action is for Tim to undergo further surgery. This will be performed today and it is expected that Tim will be unavailable for a further three to four months," the Cricket Australia

The 27-year-old http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tasmania-c854 top order batsman had re-injured his aching right index finger while batting in a warm-up match with his state side in August earlier this year and has not taken field since then.
The Australian backup glove man underwent an unsuccessful surgery in September and things worsened for the Tasmanian player when the supports placed in to strengthen his injured finger broke after he tried to resume training. He has not featured in any first
class match for the Tasmanian Tigers this season.
The index surgery is expected to sideline the backup wicketkeeper for another four months, which means no http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 this Southern Hemisphere summer, which will see Australia hosting India in a four match Test series starting later this month.
Paine expressed disappointment over the latest setback.
"I'm obviously disappointed with this latest setback. I am hopeful that I can get the injury right and recover fully so that I can get back to playing cricket in the near future," Paine said.
