young age of 19. Having a very short career, but a very high average, Southee seems to be rapidly developing into a true pacer, who will soon be standing in the list of world’s top bowlers. Southee is one of the few players who makes history, set trends and

After two successful years of first-class cricket, Southee grabbed 5 wickets for 55 runs and smashed 77 from 40 deliveries in his maiden international game. For the highest average of wickets, he was the first one to win Player of the Tournament award in
the Under-19s World Cup 2008.
Southee was born on 11 December, 1988 in Whangarei, New Zealand. Having completed graduation from King’s College, Auckland, Southee thought to navigate in the ocean of cricket. Though he had been in the field since college life, his formal play was for the

During his two year international career, Southee has played 13 Tests, 44 ODIs and 19 T20s. Southee has 35 Test, 55 ODI and 22 T20 wickts to his credit, as his scorecard contains 385 Test, 148 ODI and 25 T20 runs that include 2 fifties, 44 fours and 30 sixes.
As a fielder, he has held 18 tremendous catches.
