  1. Fedor - nobody can transition like he can, and Sylvia isn't ready for th steady pressure from so many angles.

Sylvia is a rangy dude with good striking on the outside.  Fedor will take some punches to get inside, put Sylvia on his back, and G&P.  The instant Sylvia leaves one of those long arms out (which he often does) he'll get submitted.

  2. What ever happened to Hammer, formerly MC Hammer

  3. Got to go with Fedor because he is use to fighting tall guys with long reaches and Hong-Man Choi I believe is a better striker then Sylvia is(he came from K-1) and Fedor subbed him within 2 minutes.  If Couture can get Sylvia to the ground then Fedor can also because Fedor ground game and take downs are superior to Couture's and Sylvia is not good on the ground as was seen in his fight with against Big Nog, as soon as Nog got him down he subbed him and Fedor while not the Submission artist Nog is(arguable) he is really good and his ground & pound is unmatched besides its in a ring and that plays to Fedors advantage because he can corner Tim for takedowns and Tim won't be able to lean on Fedor for the whole fight like he tends to do after he gets a points lead to pull a decision.  I think Fedor ends this in the first round by armbar.

Tim isn't going to knockout Fedor, Cro-cop couldn't do it in his prime Tim isn't going to fair any better.

  4. Emilianenko, obviously. the guy knocked out and made Zuluzhinho tap.

and Zuluzhihno weighs 400 pounds and is 6.7 1/2, so its like 2 Sylvias.

    Emilianenko wins, by Ko (strikes)

  5. Fedor Emelienenko for me :)***

  6. Wow this is a tough one, I'm going to say Tim Sylvia only because it has been so long since fedor truly fought a real competitor.

  7. The cold war never ended!!!

    I want the U.S and A to win !!

Come on TIM!!!!( fedor is a cool dude though)

  8. Really good question. It is really a good match up, Fedor I don't think has fought any real good striker, we don't know if he has a real good chin. At the same time Sylvia trains with MFS is Iowa. With the Noguera fight, Sylvia fought cautious, which made him boring to watch. He has been training with a different boxing coach and promises to let the hands fly this time. I think Nog got lucky, because if Sylvia fought all out, Big Nog would have been knocked out.

Fedor hasn't fought in a long while and who was his last fight against? Choi, who only fought one time in MMA? If Fedor wins, he will have lived up to his hype.

  9. Tim Sylvia will win this fight, he has fought more times in the US and is more comfortable with the US MMA rules VS Pride/K1 rules (no kicking a downed opponent, elbows are allowed for striking) and Fedor has not fought a quality opponent except for Matt Lindland (Hunt, Lindland, Man Choi) - Tim's last few fights (Couture, Vera, Nogueira) have been competitive - his fight with Nogueira is what opened my eyes. The Maine-iac is hungry.

  10. i hope sylvia beats fedor to silence the fedor-lovers, but i dont think it's going to happen.
