Timber load line for general ships??

If a ship is carrying "SAWN TIMBER" as cargo loaded in containers, and these containers are loaded on top of deck, every voyage... Can u assign a timber loadline for this ship??? or does she have to follow the general loadline??

  1. Must follow the general load line. The deeper timber load line is for a full load of timber, loaded without containers.


  2. Must follow the load line specified in their International Load Line Certificate. A waver can be obtained but is not a common thing. The reason the ships look so overloaded is the light weight characteristics of the cargo.
