Time Out likely to dominate proceedings in the 32Red Handicap Chase
Time Out is expected to dominate proceedings in the 32Red Handicap Chase at Doncaster in England on Friday, March 2, 2012. The winner of the event will be awarded with a cash prize of £5,848.
A total of six runners are likely to take part in the 2 mile 3 furlong race and their names are: Time Out, Midnight Sail, Wessex King, Restezen D´Armor, Montoya’s Son and Best Lover. The latter of all runners is doubtful and might not be able to run today.
The best chances of winning are with Time Out, who has got an impressive record in chase events, winning three of them out of six attempts. Other than that, he has also finished runner up once.
The bookmakers have shown faith in the nine-year-old gelding because of his recent form, which is exceptional. All his victories have come in his previous three outings, thus he has the winning momentum on his side.
James Ewart’s trainee will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Brian Hughes, who has earned 86 chase victories in his career so far.
Despite not having a good record while chasing, Midnight Sail is also expected to do well at Doncaster. He has entered three of such events, but failed to finish in top three in any of them. However, all those runs earned him fourth place finishes and there
is plenty of potential in him.
The nine-year-old gelding, trained by veteran Alan King, will be partnered by Wayne Hutchinson, who has got a pretty decent strike rate in chase races.
Other than the top two favourites, Wessex King will also be eying a strong show at Doncaster today. He has won a couple of chase races, but the strike rate is not impressive, as he has already taken part in 11 events.
However, the important thing for the eight-year-old gelding is his recent form, which is very good. He is in very good shape and the punters will be encouraged to place some bets on him.
Henry Daly’s trained runner will be partnered by Jake Greenall, who has won 10 chase races until now.
The conditions at Doncaster and recent form of all the runners indicate that Time Out will be the dominant horse in today’s chase. He has been doing a fabulous job over the past few months and the bettors will have a lot of confidence in him.
