Time Sq. New York City economical stay place as a tourist

I intend to visit New York City, I am interested to stay at some economical place somewhere near to Time Sq. area. While answering,

please mention if the stay will include breakfast also and room tariff

per day. Thanks.

Last time I went, I stayed at the Edison Hotel.  It's reasonably priced for the area (about $175), lovely art deco lobby.  The rooms are nice, there's  a fitness center.  Pretty good customer service (shuttles, there's a ticket agency in the lobby, sightseeing tours, etc).  

The price doesn't include breakfast, but there's a restaurant (actually more of a diner) in the building.

If you want to be really economical, stay in the hostel and just take the subway to Times Square.

There is a comfort Inn like 1/2 block off broadway

it is only like 130 a night!
