Question:

Time Warner Cable. How do I add closed captions?

Some people have told me to look for the "CC or CAPT" button on my remote and that is how I can turn it on and off. The thing is, I don't have that option on my remote (and its brand new, I just got it 3 days ago). This is the remote I have: http://www.timewarnercable.com/nynj/products/cable/remote_setup.html - the third image.

Can anyone help me add this feature?

I also tried on my TV, but I can't find it. I have a

Sony KV-27V42 27" TV.

  1. The first person got it right: Press Settings and then select More Settings from the on-screen menu. Then scroll down to Closed Caption and press the right arrow button to activate the selection feature. Then use the up- or down-arrow button to turn on closed captioning. I think you then press Select to accept the change.

  2. For me, I Press Settings on the remote, then more settings, then go down where it says Closed Captioning and then turn it on instead of off.
